This story was a rollercoaster of emotions. You get angst, love, betrayal, and so much more from each page. The characters are brought to life from the second the tale begins. With a well crafted background and rich detail, their world immediately consumes the reader and becomes their own. I was lost in the chapters for hours, soaking in as much as I could. The characters were relate-able and easy to love. Caius first appears as a bad guy but his story shows the reasons behind his actions, putting him in a new light that made me fall completely for him. Wren is fighting her own personal demons and has an amazing independent attitude that I love seeing in female leads.

The book is well written with some shocking twists that blew me away! There is a main plot line and a sub plot line that worked perfectly with one another. I wasn't lost which is usually a concern when there is something sneaking around in the background. Being a series there is a cliffhanger at the end; I can't wait to read the next book, not just to find out what happens next but to submerge myself into this fantastic world Brenda Tetreault has created once again.

I loved this book and highly recommend it!

Excellent characters, fast paced plot, just the right amount of steam. I can't wait to see where the next installment goes. I love the world that's being built and want more!
I loved it!
I can't even begin to say how much I love her books. Once I pick them up, I rarely put them down until I am done. I feel like I am right there with the characters! The story line flows easily, there is never a dull moment, and you are entertained until the end! I can't wait for the next book!
The love and loss that was felt in this book kept me on edge! I couldn't put the book down the need to find out what was going to happen next unbelievable. I am in love with this series!!!
Immediately, I was a fan of Brenda's after reading the first in this series, Tempted. (Roman *swoon*) I love how she details the characters and the emotions they feel. She doesn't hold back and allows her characters to be bigger than life. That's what draws me in as a reader. I enjoyed Salvaged and am looking forward to the next one!
This book is awesome! I like it even better than the first book! The first book is good, but I felt that it was a lot of information & storylines that seemed to be all over the place. The characters are great and that makes you want more. Caius is wonderful though & I wouldn't change a thing. His story and Wren' s is sad and painful but proves that true love never fades and happy endings are possible. Now, if only Caine & Gaela could get their HEA! I am dying to read their book! I would also like to learn more about Caine's siblings. Hopefully Boone & Ariel will have their own stories coming soon. I absolutely recommend this series, but you definitely need to read Tempted first. Please keep them coming!
After reading Brenda Tetreault's 'Tempted' and learning she was writing 'Salvaged', I will admit to maybe being a little impatient waiting for it to be published. I purchased a copy the same night it hit 's website.

The Nightshade Novels have to be read in order so y'all can keep up with who is who and what's happening to who.
Although Roman and Sabrina head up the cast in the first book of the series, we do meet a lot of the characters who feature in the next few books in the leading roles.

"Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned, Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned"
As I was reading Salvaged for the second time, it struck me that the phrase "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" was quite apt in Caius' case, except he's obviously not a woman LOL. I couldn't remember the whole phrase so I Googled it and I think you will agree, or at least I hope ya do, the first part of the phrase is TOTALLY apt for the son of a God.

"You will be salvaged"
"Salvaged" tells us the story of Caius and Wren and the aftermath of a dream vision. Interspersed throughout their story weaves the tale of Caine and Gaela. These four characters have the hardest time of all of Brenda's characters -in my opinion.

After meeting Caius in "Tempted", one can hardly fault you for thinking what a completely arrogant, egotistical, low down dirty love rat he is. He uses his powers to seduce and abandon women, leaving them feeling desolate, despairing and worthless.

Caius is bitter and destroyed after his wife suddenly vanishes without a word, Wren is haunted by a vision and the decision she made as a result, Caine is destined to murder the woman he loved and Gaela wants a man who is the one destined to end her life.

Not once did I find the storyline lacking. From start to finish emotions are rife and they range broad across the spectrum - Love, Betrayal, Sorrow, Hurt, Anguish - to name but a few. Each chapter has something in it that just makes you want to keep reading and when you read the final chapter, it's horrible because then you have the knowledge that you have to wait for the next book to find out what happens to who next.

I will admit to not being a fan of two stories being told in the one book. For me it kinda detracts from the main duo of the story, but I did enjoy "Salvaged" nonetheless. Brenda does a great job of keeping her characters and their surroundings alive for the reader. She also keeps the emotions alive for each character. It's also extremely easy to love or hate a character because they are portrayed through Brenda's writing so well. For these reasons, I didn't drop a Shamrock from my rating.

Loving this series so much that I volunteered to be a Beta reader for "Beloved", so keep an eye out for my review on that D
