Completely depressed over the loss of her first love, Riley decides she needs to stop letting life pass by and instead take control of her destiny. She leaves the only city she has ever known and moves to Denver without a plan.
Her ex-girlfriend Taylor told her that she wasn’t experienced enough, and Riley begins a journey to learn more about BDSM, exploring gender and sexuality along the way, in the hopes that Taylor will take her back. In the meantime, Riley meets Sass, an introverted librarian by day, who keeps her colored past from Riley. The more the two of them get to know each other, the more Sass falls for Riley. Will Riley see the light and forget about Taylor, or will she be convinced that once her education is complete, Taylor is still the one for her?

This is a solid two and a half star read. The writing didn't suck, some typos here and there, but nothing too distracting for me; characters were believable and entertaining. For me the lost of the two and half star come from two separate issues I had.
1. Was the fact that the narrative on Sass' end and summary somewhat led me to have higher expectations that the romance between Sass and Riley would be more of a focal point of the story.
2. The ending felt kind of rushed to me.
I could be asking for too much having wanted a more descriptive and detailed build up to the romance between the two MC's. Sass' narrative since after she meets Riley is filled with suggestions that there would be some of that included in the story, but as soon as the ending comes along it does just that. Ends. You get the impression that the two of them end up together, but it's so vague that there might as well have been no mention of it at all. Honestly I could have done without Sass POV as a whole even though I enjoyed it since it did nothing to enhance the true plot of the story, which I gathered was about Riley getting over her ex and learning how to not take sex so serious emotionally.
On a side note I did like the BDSM aspect of the story because it was realistic and insightful.
It's up in the air on whether I'll read another book by this author. We'll see.
