A really touching story with just the right combination of emotion and humor. Nicely plotted, and featuring one of my favorite tropes: waking up married.

I really empathized with Barb who seemed to be carrying the world on her shoulders with her ailing mother, and little Kadi who needed a mother so badly. Some very sweet exchanges between the two.

These characters all deserved each other - in a good way. I love that this is part of a series and that these characters may turn up again.

The Bull Rider's Manager by Lynn Cahoon is fun romance read that will keep you turning the pages to know more until the very end.

If you read The Bull Rider's Brother, you may remember Barb as Lizzie's best friend and TBRMhard working rodeo rider manager. Now Barb has to face a few facts of life she has been avoiding and gets her own HEA.

Barb is going to Vegas for another rodeo with Jesse and is going to try and win over a new sponsorship from Hunter Martin. But When Jesse doesn't arrive at the airport she has to so a lot to keep Hunter interested without showing Jesse's irresponsibility.

Hunter is going to Vegas for this rodeo only because his father asked him to see if sponsoring would be good. But after meeting Barb he can't regret going, even if it is a little bit of a burden after he already had so much on his plate.

After one too many tequilas Barb and Hunter find themselves married.

Barb has too much on her plate with her mother's illness and she only wants an annulment, but for some reason not seeing Hunter again makes her feel like she is missing something. But When Hunter finds himself in midst of a custody battle for his niece he thinks the wedding in Vegas was not a mistake but a miracle that happened just in time.

While everything may be farce on the outside, inside Barb, Hunter and Kati wish that this were a real family. But it will take a lot of humility and opening their hearts from Hunter and Barb for this family to become a reality for life.

If you want to read a sweet and fun romance with a beautiful a cute little girl that will steal your heart then this story is for you.

"The Bull Rider's Manager" had me from the first line. How can you not like a book that begins "If flying was hell, waiting to fly was purgatory?" The best part is, the rest of the book was just as good.

Barb Carico, the woman in the title, is on her way to Vegas for a rodeo weekend where one of her clients is competing and where she hopes to get a sponsorship agreement for him from Hunter Martin, of Martin Dairies. Her bull rider doesn't show for the flight leaving her to have dinner with Hunter, who has something of a reputation as a player in the dives and bars around Boise. Turns out, he's hired a limo to take Barb out for dinner where they can talk business. Just the two of them.

Dinner is delicious. The wine and tequila flow and they end up at the Elvis chapel getting married. Then they have to face going home. That's when the complications of their individual lives drive them to make an interesting bargain.

Hunter has custody of his orphaned niece, Kati, who he adores. But a distant relative has announced she wants custody because she can give Kati a two-parent home. Barb needs a substantial down payment to get her mother, who has Alzheimer's, into an appropriate care setting. They agree to make the fake marriage seem real until after the custody hearing in exchange for the deposit for the care facility.

The best fake marriages face problems. Barb and Hunter's face a long list Barb's slime-bag ex-husband, her growing affection for Kati and Kati's for her, Barb's mother and Kati hitting it off, the curiosity of the distant relative who uncovers the secret of Barb's past, most of all the feelings Hunter and Barb have for each other but try to hide.

Cahoon skillfully portrays her characters and their conflicts, drawing the reader into the story and holding interest all the way through. Even though I know that a good romance novel always ends with happily-ever-after, there were times when I wondered how the author was going to get us there. But she did, with story-telling skill and a deft feel for the genre.

The Bull Rider's Manager is a good romance that will keep you interested in it until the end. You will love it.

I enjoyed these two books and would have purchased the third if it were available. Good read, lots of interesting characters and cowboys! Who doesn't love reading about awesome, real cowboys?
I would recommend this as a good read in-between! It was a quick read and an enjoyable story! I am excited to see if the Bull Rider himself will get a story for us to enjoy as well.....
i hope the the author comes out with more books along this line. i have enjoyed this series and would very much like to see more characters from this home town with their stories.
